Bob Cameron — Owner/Operator

I am proud of Heritage River’s caring community. I look forward to walking through the front door and seeing our residents' smiling faces. We are dedicated to our residents and are focused on ensuring that Heritage River is a welcoming place where residents can enjoy their retirement and senior years. Our warm and homey atmosphere, exceptional dining, and incredible team set us apart. We look forward to welcoming you home.

Everything we do, every day, is for the well-being of our residents.

Paul Weekes — General Manager

Paul began his career as a chef in 1993 and was Red Seal Certified in 1999 after apprenticing in Ottawa at the Corel Centre for the Ottawa Senators. After many years of working in the restaurant and catering industry, he was introduced to Senior Living in 2009, where he found a passion for cooking for seniors. For 10 years, Paul worked as Regional Chef in Senior Living across the USA and Canada, until he joined the team at Heritage River in 2014. Paul began as the Executive Chef and became Operations Manager in 2020.

The best thing about Heritage River is the privilege of working in our residents’ home and making a difference in their daily lives.

Megan Hache — Director of Care

Megan was born and raised in the Elora/Fergus area and couldn’t imagine living in any other community. After working in long-term care for over a decade, Megan brought her applied knowledge and passion for working with seniors to Heritage River. Nursing is her calling and she finds her work tremendously rewarding.

“Working at Heritage River has been what I would consider my dream job. I come to work with a full heart every single day and am proud to work amongst such a lovely community. I could easily exchange the word ‘community’ with ‘family’ — the feeling of fellowship is remarkable.”

Christina Fuller - Health and Wellness Coordinator

Christina grew up in Brampton and Orangeville, Ontario. While she has always had an interest in health care, she did not pursue Nursing until after she had started her family. As the health and Wellness Coordinator, she is able to assist residents in getting the supports they need to continue living with independence and dignity. She helps manage the UCP, PSW and GDA staff as they assist the residents in their daily lives.

“I enjoy being able to interact with the residents at Heritage River on a personal level. I am always amazed at the interesting perspectives they can provide.”

Sandi Nikolasevic — Sales and Resident Services Manager

Sandi is an Elora/Fergus native. Over the course of her working life, she has made a career of caring for others. From operating a daycare in Elora for 30 years to working with mentally and physically challenged adults with Community Living Guelph-Wellington, she loves to improve people’s lives. Sandi joined the team at Heritage River in 2013 and loves caring for others.

“My heart is with the residents and anything I can do to brighten their day, I am happy to do that.”

Christina Erb — Life Enrichment

Christina made the move from Bancroft to Guelph in 2013. By 2018, she had found her place at Heritage River, starting out in the dining department as a high school student. During those years, she discovered a passion for working with seniors. Inspired by this newfound calling, Christina decided to pursue her dream of becoming a recreation therapist. After studying at Conestoga College, she's now the Life Enrichment manager at Heritage River. She loves spending her time creating fun and meaningful programs for the residents to enjoy. Her journey shows the power of following your heart and the joy that comes from making a positive difference in people's lives.

“Connecting with our residents on a personal level and enriching their lives through meaningful activities is not just a job it's a privilege. Being able to bring joy and purpose to their days is truly the highlight of my work.”

Calum McGeachie — Maintenance Manager

Calum lives in Fergus with his wife and daughter. He has immersed himself within the Fergus /Elora communities and is particularly passionate about Curling. Calum brought forth a vast array of skills, which have been an asset in his role as Maintenance Manager. Calum’s respect and admiration of seniors comes from his close relationship with his own grandmother, who mentored him, pushed him to do his best and encouraged him to never quit. Being alongside the residents is a reminder of the valuable lessons and memories that he gained from his own grandmother.

“One of the many reasons why I love working at Heritage River is to listen to and gain knowledge from our residents’ stories.”

Amy Walser — Housekeeping

Amy was born and raised in Elora, where she continues to live with her family. Amy’s compassionate and attentive nature have been valuable in her role at Heritage River. Involved in managing Housekeeping, Payroll and Onboarding; her positive attitude and outlook on life engages both residents and team members in a meaningful way on a daily basis.

“Heritage River is my second home, and family. I cherish the time spent here and love the memories that I take with me. I am truly blessed and honored to have this incredible community to come to everyday.”
